Need to take your burgeoning arts organization to the next level? Interested in daily participation in a dynamic, creative community? Looking for a stronger connection with area arts organizations?

Then consider residency at Flashpoint where you will be a part of a vibrant community of resident organizations. The Incubator Residency program at Flashpoint offers an opportunity to strengthen your arts organization through training, networking and information sharing. Regular seminars and workshops will help take your organization to the next level. Residents are provided workstation(s) and file storage space; access to shared conference room, resource library and periodical subscriptions; access to shared network with daily back up, printer, copier, phone system (including voicemail), fax, scanner and postage machine; as well as priority use of the dance studio and theatre lab for productions and events.

The Incubator Residency program is designed to assist small and emerging arts and cultural organizations in developing the administrative infrastructure and financial capacity necessary to transition into more permanent facilities, all while provide state-of-the-art facilities and greater visibility in downtown DC.

Applications will be considered based upon the following criteria:


based in the DC metro area;

dedicated exclusively to an artistic or cultural endeavor;

have produced high quality arts programming, products or services for the past two years;

employ at least one part-time professional staff member; and

compensation for all artists employed by the organization or business.
