Evan Reed’s New & Recent Sculptures, the artist’s first solo exhibition in DC, consists of four large-scale sculptures. Reed’s floor- and wall-based works transform salvaged quotidian materials into sculptural pieces that suggest personal histories. According to Reed, “the way a material looks and behaves, and the way a latent memory of its everyday use is conveyed to the viewer, works with the form to make literal and imaginative associations.”
