May 22 – July 5, 2008
Korean-born artist Tai Hwa Goh’s creates layered abstract images that reflect the accumulation of memory and experiences. She uses aquatint and silkscreen printing techniques on Soon-ji, a thin, Korean paper. The wax layers mirror the translucency and penetrability of skin and the imagery evokes biological forms, landscapes and flirts with — but never devolves completely into — figuration.
