In this second exhibition by Ami Martin Wilber at Flashpoint, the artist reemphasizes her affinity for routine, multiples and repetition. Gestation is a series of 100 ovoid alabaster sculptures that artist Wilber created over the course of 40 weeks, the average period of human gestation. The creation of the sculptures became on obsessive daily ritual; the work, as conceptual as it is performative, serves as an abstract visual diary of the artistic process.
