M3: MC’s, Mics and Metaphors presents emerging artists and designers working at the intersection of hip hop culture and contemporary art. Curator, Tewodross Melchishua asked each artist to respond to his or her favorite verse from a hip hop song using media ranging from photography, fashion, painting and design. The artists addressed hip hop culture and music and its association with misogyny and materialism.
